Crossbow Spartan Girl by Sacrafire Crossbow Spartan Girl by Sacrafire
A somewhat old piece I did back in early 2011...

This is the un-helmeted version of the Crossbow Spartan:

For anyone who still hasn't figured it out yet in that picture, yup she's female! :D
This was initially meant to be a contribution to a scrapbook for this friend's birthday scrapbook in 2011, but I never found the guts to submit it, and since then, it's been sitting in my folder. :(

Splendid detail good sir. Splendid. A degree of distortion but the armor is extremely accurate as far as the individual parts.

Haha just curious, which parts are distorted?

The top of her right arm should be hidden by her body. The right thigh is out of proportion with the right shin. Either the shin should be a bit smaller and appear further back, or the thigh should be larger. It looks like you tried to place the right leg further back than the left but they are both the same height on the page.

just to be nit-picky, I think her legs should be about 0.5cm to 1.0cm longer.

Hahahah I agree with you, this was a relatively older drawing, and I do use a calculator to measure proportion sometimes now XD

I suppose the leg positioning isn't a big problem, because she isn't tilted away that much. Also, about the shin plating, the right meaning her right, or right from our POV?

I don't understand your point about the right arm though.

By right, I mean her right side. Her right arm looks as if she is shrugging her shoulder forward a little too much.

Ah yes, I see the shoulder bit now.

No matter!!! Future works will be better! Thanks for going thru this discussion with me man =)
